Lonely and disoriented, Ananda runs off to New York. She thinks that in a city as big as that, there must be someone like her walking around. She instead meets Kerri, her best friend, with whom she cannot read thoughts, which is a welcome development. One day, while walking around New York City, a man's voice calls out to her. Ananda should have been happy; it was what she was in New York for. But she's just scared. She decides to go home only to realize that her apartment may have an intruder. Things happen so fast. One minute Ananda is in the arms of a stranger, being hushed. Then she follows the stranger, Jared, to the car. They end up in a motel, in bed, exchanging body heat and fluids.

Warning, this appears to be a serial, so there is a cliffhanger. This is an enjoyable read and will make it worth the time for a quick but very rewarding read. Can definitely see this as a great lunch time pick me up. 5 stars Miss Darla!

Dunbar does a really good job of setting up the suspense of this story while also keeping things steamy. I knew this was erotica so my expectations weren't very high. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I felt connected to Ana & Jared in such a short book. The length is actually my biggest problem with this story. It needed to be longer to allow Ana & Jared some more time to know each other before hitting the sheets. In any case, I'm intrigued & will be downloading the rest of this serial to find out more about Ana, Jared & whoever is after them.

I am enjoying reading books with psychic characters so this was a good read for me.
